My Q1 Goals

January – March 2026

Jump to the data →

These are my objectives and key results for Q1 2026. I use OKRs (Objective and Key Results) as a framework to define and track my goals: an abstract objective and measurable and trackable results that drive me in that direction.

These are not everything I do, but rather things that I would not be able to focus on otherwise. It is intentionally setting results to achieve, or aim clearly towards, an outcome I want.

I track weekly, and publicly, to be accountable and have visibility on how things progress and whether I need to course correct.

I don’t expect to reach 100% of them: if I get to 80% in most of them, I’ll be happy. That’s not an excuse to underdeliver: it’s by design.

I use the standard traffic light colours to quickly see how I’m doing. Here’s the exact meaning I give to colours:

  • 🟢 GREEN: The KR is on track: we’re at at least 80% the expected value for this week.
  • 🟡 YELLOW: The KR is not on track: I need to change something in the approach to bring it back on track.
  • 🔴 RED: The KR is not on track, and there’s no realistic way to bring it back to green. I need to rework the KR so it becomes more meaningful or realistic.

🟦 OKR 1: Growth

Objective: Advance my personal mastery and competence in body, mind, and action.

Why this matters

Excellence compounds. Building real capability, both physical and cognitive, makes more things possible. This isn’t about showing off, it’s about being more capable at the things that matter.

🟩 OKR 2: Impact

Objective: Deliver helpful creations that people anywhere can use to improve their life in a practical, tangible way.

Why this matters

Growth for its own sake is navel gazing. To me, the point of building capability is using it to make things that matter. These projects force me to finish, ship, and put something real into the world.
